The PEI PNP’s Express Entry Category is aligned with the Canadian government’s Express Entry system.

Express Entry oversees the applications for three economic-class immigration categories: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.

Eligible candidates are provided a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score because of their age, work experience, education, and language proficiency in English and French.

Labour Impact Category

The Labour effect Category is for foreign nationals who have a valid job offer in PEI, and also have support from their employer. It’s separated into three streams: Skilled Worker, Critical Employee , and International Graduate.

Nominees in this category must also submit an EOI profile so as to be considered for a provincial nomination throughout the Labour Impact Category.

Business Effect Category

The 28 candidates who were invited through the Business Impact Category on August 20 had a minimum EOI score of 112. These invitations were issued under the Work Permit Stream, which will be for overseas entrepreneurs who would like to own and operate a business in PEI.
