Australia Skilled Occupation List 2024 (Updated)

What is Australia’s Skilled Occupation list?

The skilled occupation list of Australia 2023-24 is the list of in demand skilled jobs in Australia. This list is issued and updated frequently to invite the right applicant into the country.

The list of vocations was most recently updated by the Australian Ministry of Home Affairs. The updated list pertains to the skilled immigration scheme. The talents list of the Australian government comprises three categories:

    1. Short Term Skilled Occupation List (STSOL)

There are around 215 jobs on the Short-term Skilled Occupation List. These professions are in demand throughout Australia’s territory. Previously known as the Consolidated Sponsored Occupation List, this list (CSOL). The following visas are available under the STSOL programme:

    • Skilled Nominated Visa Subclass 190

    • Direct Entry through Employer Nomination Scheme Subclass 186 Visa

    • Visa Subclass 457 for Temporary Workers

    • Training Subclass 407 Visas

The authorities use STSOL for the points system while evaluating immigration applications. In the SOL, Engineers, IT professionals, healthcare professionals, and workers of the education sector have an evergreen demand.

    2. Medium and Long Term Strategic Skill List (MLTSSL)

Australia’s skilled immigration programme will use the list of strategic talents.  You can immigrate to Australia using Visa Subclass 189 regardless of whether your employer or the government is sponsoring you.  The Skilled Occupation List (SOL) was the previous name for this initiative, which promotes the immigration of skilled workers in various industries.

    3. Regional Occupation List (ROL)

For visa subclasses 407, 489, TSS, and others, this list of abilities is applicable. The programmes for regional migration are the focus of this list. To learn more about these programmes, you can contact our immigration experts. For these programmes, there are various regulations.
