These skilled visa pathways allow applicants to apply for the permanent visa by meeting basic requirements, such as

    ●    Applicant’s age should not exceed 45.

    ●    Occupation applied should be listed on the New South Wales occupation list with authorized ANZSCO Code.

    ●    Recognised and valid Skill Assessment Report.

    ●    English Language Proficiency Test Report.

    ●    Relevant Work experience in the occupation applied.

The Skilled Nominated Visa (Subclass 190)

The skilled Nominated visa subclass 190 is a permanent visa pathway that allows applicants to migrate to Australia only when they have been nominated by an Australian state. During this case, before applying for a visa, the applicant must have a nomination from Sydney or other metro areas of New South Wales as directed by the Australian Department of Home Affairs. To be eligible for this visa class, the applicant must qualify for 65 points on the points grid, for which the basic requirements remain the same, such as age, educational qualifications, work experience, and English language Proficiency test score. The benefit of this visa class is the additional 5 points added to the scoreboard while applying for the NSW PR visa.

NSW visa lays out a skilled occupation list with their respective ANZSCO code as:

How to Apply for the New South Wales Skilled Occupation

A NSW visa application requires a structured strategy in order to receive an invitation from the Australian Department of Home Affairs. To be eligible for this visa, follow the steps and obtain PR visa in the easiest way:

    Check Eligibility

Before applying for a NSW visa the applicant must ensure the eligibility section such as:

    ●    65 points on the point assessment grid

    ●    Occupation to be listed on NSW skilled list

    ●    Skill assessment report

    ●    Age of the applicant must be below 45 years

    ●    Valid work experience especially in the same field of the occupation nominated

    ●    English language proficiency test report

    Submit your EOI

After positive assessment of eligibility criteria, submit EOI (Expression of Interest) in the SkillSelect. EOI ensures the applicant’s motive and purpose behind the immigration. Certain documents such as passport, passport-size photographs, and medical and police clearance certificate are also submitted alongside the EOI. SkillSelect assesses the documents of the applicant to ensure they meet Australian skilled labour needs.

    Be Invited

Once the EOI has been submitted, applicants are bound to wait for the invitation. NSW holds the invitation rounds frequently throughout the year.

    Respond if Invited

When the applicants receive the Invitation to Apply, applicants have a limited period of time i.e, 14 days to respond to the Department of Home Affairs.

    Wait for the Nomination

Once all the documents have been submitted, applicants are bound to wait for their nomination as it takes approximately 6 weeks for the application assessment after the payment has been made to the respective department.

    Visa Grant

Once nomination is received, applicants receive a COPR ( confirmation of permanent residence) letter. With this last step the visa application process is complete and settled.

The following procedure helps in the smooth functioning of visa application as these steps not only ensure transparency but also accelerate the entire process.

Processing time for NSW visa application

Processing time for NSW skilled nomination visa program is approximately 8 to 9 months. However, the application process is completely dependent upon the Australian Department of Home Affairs.

     Cost of NSW visa application

The cost of NSW visa application is AUD 4765, approximately INR 266,220.

NSW visa application is complex until you follow a structured pathway, by following steps and with consistency, applicants can achieve their NSW visa in no time.
