Subclass 190 Skilled Nomination Visa

Overseas Applicant (Healthcare or Education Sector Job Offer) Pathway

Subclass 190, also known as the Skilled Nominated Vis,a which allows skilled professionals to live and earn in Tasmania, nominated because of their inherited skills in the occupation required for the upliftment of the economy.

Overseas applicants who are upskilled in the field of Healthcare and Education sector can apply through the Subclass 190 visa pathway. The introduction of a separate application process for the Healthcare and education sector underlines the accelerating demand for more healthcare workers and educational professionals in Tasmania.

Eligible Occupations Under Subclass 190 Pathway

Subclass 190 draws some eligible occupations required for the Skilled Migration Program with their valid ANZSCO Code:

 Subclass 491 Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) Visa

Overseas Skilled Occupation Profiles- Invitation Only Pathway

Subclass 491, also known as the Skilled Work Regional (Provisional) visa, which allows skilled professionals to migrate to the regional areas of Tasmania. This subclass is applicable to those applicants who have been priorly invited by the state via SkillSelect and will invite the applicant to register interest on the Tasmania Migration Gateway. 

Eligibility Requirements for the Tasmania Skilled Migration State Nomination Program

To be eligible for the Tasmania Skilled Migration state Nomination Program, applicants are required to examine some of the eligibility requirements set up by the Department of Home Affairs, such as:

❖  The applicant must be under 45 years of age

❖  The applicant must have a nomination from the relevant list of eligible skilled occupations

❖  A positive skill assessment report from recognised authorities such as ACS, VETASSESS, CPA, TRA, Engineers Australia for the nominated occupation

❖  The applicant must have at least a Competent English language proficiency test score report

❖  The applicant must have at least 65 points on the assessment grid, which is evaluated in certain factors such as age, educational qualifications, work experience, and English language proficiency test

Applicants applying for the Tasmania Skilled Migration State Nomination Program must withhold some of the essential documents necessary during the process of application, such as:

1.  Updated CV

2.  English language proficiency test report

3.  Passport

4.  Skill assessment report

5.  Educational credentials

6.  Invitation letter (applicable for subclass 491)

7.  Experience letters
