What Is A Comprehensive Ranking System?

In the Express Entry program, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) ranks immigrants applying for a Canada PR Visa through federal economic immigration programs. The CRS point calculator is an essential tool that allows a candidate to calculate the points required to immigrate to Canada under the Canadian government’s Federal Skilled Immigration Programs. Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points are awarded to applicants based on work experience, language proficiency, age, etc. Using these CRS points, candidate profiles are ranked in the Express Pool, which is the primary reason for using the Comprehensive Ranking System. They use the CRS point calculator to determine how many points they can get. Applicants whose profiles rank highest in the Express Pool based on CRS points receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to apply for a permanent residence visa from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).
