IRCC Holds the First CEC Draw for 2025

The Canadian High Commission, IRCC (Immigration, Refugee and Citizenship Canada), has invited applicants to apply for permanent residency through the most opted immigration program Express Entry System.

Canada has invited 1,350 CEC applicants through this CEC draw, who must hold a minimum CRS (Comprehensive Ranking Score) of 542. The main reason behind publishing these draws is to invite the most suitable candidate from the express entry pool who can contribute to Canada’s economic development.

If you are planning, this article will provide complete details about the recent Express Entry Draw. But, before proceeding, let us give you an overview of the Express Entry System.

Express Entry System - An Overview

The Express Entry Program System was established in 2015 to manage applications for three federal immigration programs, mentioned below:

  • Canadian Experience Class (CEC): for applicants with work experience in Canada.
  • Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP): for foreign skilled professionals with foreign work experience.
  • Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP): for skilled trades professionals.

Other nominees under the enhanced PNP streams are also administrated under the Express Entry stream.

What is a Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Score?

The CRS system is a points-based system that ranks the candidates in the pool of Express Entry. It awards points for age, education, work experience, and language proficiency. Candidates with the highest scores are allocated an ITA through regular draws.
