Another subclass 482 visa stream, the Specialists Skills Stream, allows eligible applicants to stay, work, and live in the country for up to 4 years. Labour Agreement Stream

Labour Agreement Stream allows employers with labour agreements to sponsor overseas workers. Through this stream, eligible applicants can stay, study and work in the country for up to 4 years. 

To be eligible under this stream, eligible applicants must have:

●        be nominated to work in a specified occupation under the terms of a Labour Agreement

●        have gained at least 12 months relevant full-time work experience, or equivalent, within the last 5 years, unless otherwise specified in the Labour Agreement

●        ensure that work carried out on a part-time or casual basis is equivalent to at least 12 months full-time work

●        have a relevant skills assessment

●        work only for nominated sponsor

●        meet minimum standards of English language proficiency

●    Employer Nomination Scheme (ENS) Subclass 186 Visa: Eligible applicants with a Subclass 482 visa, having minimum 2 years of employment with the sponsoring employer, can generally ask the same employer to nominate the applicant for the Employer Nomination Scheme (Subclass 186) TRT stream.

●    Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional) Subclass 494 Visa: Created for skilled employees in regional Australia.

●    General Skilled Migration (Subclass 189 or 190): You can apply for PR separately if you qualify for the points test and are nominated by a state.
