Over the years, Canada has emerged as a top destination for skilled professionals seeking global career growth, world-class living standards, and long-term stability. With its immigrant-friendly policies and strong economy, Canada continues to attract individuals who aspire to build a successful life abroad.

    What is Canada PR?

Canada PR is a legal grant that allows qualified and aspiring professionals to immigrate to Canada and live, work and study anywhere in Canada permanently. This allows professionals all the economic and social rights, such as free healthcare facilities and childcare benefits, leaving the right to vote aside.

Why is Canada the Preferred Destination for Immigrants? What are the Benefits of Canada PR?

Yes, you heard it right, Canada has retained its position as one of the most favourite destinations among prospective immigrants. It has maintained its position because Canada offers abundant job opportunities, with a healthier and fast-paced lifestyle and standard of living in a fast-thriving economy. It offers numerous benefits of residing as Canada PR and in order to summarise the benefits of Canada PR, they can be concluded as:

    1.   Permanent Settlement: A Permanent resident of Canada is entitled to settle as a citizen of Canada after 3 years of continuous stay.

    2.   Move Anywhere in Canada: the applicants can also enjoy the benefit of residing and can study in any part of Canada.

    3.   Access to Free Healthcare and Education: the applicants also receive an opportunity to access free healthcare and subsidised educational benefits.

    4.   Better Career Opportunities: Canada is one of the destinations that provides numerous job opportunities across various industries.

    5.   Family Sponsorship: A Canada PR resident becomes eligible to sponsor their family members to stay with them in Canada.

Eligible Pathways for Canada PR Process

Obtaining a Canada PR is a structured process that requires dedication, hard work, and effective planning. The supreme factor which affects positive or negative response to Canada PR application is the eligible pathways, how an applicant has applied for PR application.

Canada accepts skilled professionals through various pathways such as:

    1.   Express Entry Program

Express Entry is a point-based selection program that is 67 points, also known as the CRS score (comprehensive ranking system). It allows skilled professionals to choose one of the skilled migration programs available under Express Entry, which are as follows:

    a)  Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)

    b)  Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)

    c)  Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

    2.   Provincial Nominee Program

After the Express Entry Program, Canada allows skilled professionals to migrate with several provincial nominee programs. This special program allows applicants to stay, work and live in one of the provinces of Canada. Some of the Provincial Nominee Programs in Canada are:

    ●      Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP)

    ●      British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP)

    ●      Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP)

    ●      Manitoba Provincial Nominee Program (MPNP)

    ●      Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP)

    ●      Alberta Immigrant Nominee Program (AINP)

    3.   Family Sponsorship

This is one of the eligible pathways to immigrate to Canada. Eligible applicants often apply through the family sponsorship program when they have family members in Canada who will support the prospective immigrant.

    4.   Quebec Immigration

This pathway allows skilled professionals to immigrate to Quebec and work, live and study only in that specific part of Canada for a period of time.

What is the Canada PR Process From India?

In order to immigrate to Canada, there is a need to understand its process and follow it in clear order. So, if you want to migrate to Canada, then it is important to understand the Canada PR process through a practical example.

★   One of our clients, who holds a graduation degree and has more than 2 years of work experience in the public administration, decided to immigrate to Canada in search of better job opportunities. With his decision of building his future in Canada and our guidance, he successfully navigated the PR process, which can be concluded as:

According to each eligible pathway available and calculations made for our client's profile, we suggested Express Entry as the most eligible pathway.

    Step 1: Check Eligibility

At the initial stage, we suggested an Express Entry Program for our client. The Express Entry program holds certain eligibility factors such as 67 points criteria, language proficiency tests score, and an eligible occupation to be in-demand in the Canadian labour market.

According to our client’s profile- his education and work experience we suggested some of the in-demand and highest paying jobs available in Canada. According to his administrative profile, the applicable NOC Code was 40019.

Read our guide on the Canada Occupation List that lists some of the in-demand occupations with a valid NOC code.

Step 2: Take the Language Proficiency Test

After checking all the eligibility factors, we suggested our client to take a language proficiency test such as IELTS or CELPIP. Language tests are considered a crucial factor for Canada PR under the express entry program.

Step 3: Evaluation of Educational Credentials (ECA)

After language score, there comes the evaluation of educational credentials also known as ECA (Essential Credential Assessment). The assessment procedure ensures applicant’s educational qualifications are equivalent to Canada’s educational standards.

     Step 4: Gather Essential Documents

Once ECA is also conducted, we suggested our client to start accumulating essential documents such as:

    ●    Valid passport

    ●    IELTS score report

    ●    ECA

    ●    Work experience letter

    ●    Educational credentials

    ●    Medical and police clearance certificate

    Step 5: Create Profile

As per our suggestion, we created an express entry profile for our client. As the express entry program is considered one of the fastest immigration programs, it puts the applicant’s profile in the pool of candidates waiting for ITAs (Invitation to Apply). On behalf of our client we submitted necessary documents along with the immigration fee.

     Step 6: Await ITA

The next step involved in the Canada PR process is to wait for ITA. Receiving an ITA (Invitation to Apply) ensures applicant’s approval for further procedure for Canada PR.

     Step 7: PR Confirmation

After submitting all the necessary documents, with fees, and after receiving ITA, our client received PR confirmation. Once PR confirmation was done, he received a COPR (confirmation of Permanent Residence) card.

    Step 7: Apply PR

After receiving the COPR card, we applied for the client's PR and within 6 to 8 months, our client who once dreamt of immigrating to Canada to build his life in one of the most preferred countries for better job opportunities and lifestyle, reached his new HOME.

With these simple and structured steps one can accomplish Canada PR process and obtain Canada PR within just a few months.
