IRCC Sets New Canada Express Entry Record with the Largest Category Based Draw
More than 8,000 ITAs are invited in the Canada Express Entry latest draw, under the French language proficiency category in the month of February, with the objective of attracting bilingual professionals to the country.
IRCC has invited 8,500 ITAs under the French language proficiency category with a CRS score of 400 on February 6, 2026, making it the largest category-based draw in the history of Express Entry Draws. To be eligible for the Canada Express Entry latest draw, applicants need:
❖ Minimum CRS (Comprehensive Ranking System) score of 400.
❖ The profiles are to be created before 11:11 a.m., Universal Coordinated Time (UTC), on February 3, 2026.
Within this week, on February 3, IRCC has also released a draw under the Provincial Nominee Program category, inviting 423 ITAs with a CRS score of 749. The latest PNP Canada draw was considered to be the third draw under this category so far in the year 2026.
Canada Express Entry Latest Draw
The Canada Express Entry latest draw in the month of February under the French language proficiency category is regarded as the largest draw till date in the year 2026. This draw is also considered the first under this category, with an objective of increasing bilingual professionals in the country. By inviting professionals to the country, Canada allows professionals to become permanent residents of Canada.

In the initial months of the year, IRCC has released a total of six draws, including the latest draw on February 6, 2026. Leaving aside the latest two draws of February, Canada Express Entry draws were entirely focused on inviting skilled and experienced professionals to the country, particularly with Canadian work experience, and their aim to suffice labour shortage needs in the provincial areas of the country. Based on recent Express Entry trends, it was expected that the country would primarily focus on these other two categories, but this latest Express Entry draw came off as an unexpected outcome.
