IRCC Conducts the Twelfth Express Entry Draw of 2023

A draw specifically for the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) resulted in 589 invitations to apply (ITAs) being issued by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC). The needed Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score for applicants was 691.

Candidates who have been nominated by a Canadian province and are already in the Express Entry pool will be drawn specifically for the PNP. In 2023, there have been four PNP-specific draws. 667 candidates were invited to the most recent one, which took place on March 1. Since then, candidates from all Express Entry programs have been taken into account in all draws.

Updated Proof of Funds:-

The IRCC stated on May 2 that the amount of money applicants in Canada need has changed. All Express Entry applicants must provide proof of funds to prove they have the resources necessary to make Canada their home.

Candidates who are eligible to work in Canada and have a legitimate job offer, whether they are part of the Canadian Experience Class or the Express Entry pool, are exempt from the requirement to provide proof of finances. Even applicants to the Federal Skilled Worker Program or the Federal Skilled Trades Program should be aware of this.

Candidates must now update their profiles to show that they continue to have the necessary amount of settlement funds in order to be eligible for Express Entry.

The sum is revised yearly by IRCC. how many people a candidate needs to be able to support, is calculated using 50% of the low-income cut-off totals.

Prior Express Entry Dates for 2023

Following the April 26 draw, 3,500 applicants with CRS scores of 483 were invited,

On April 12, 3,500 applicants with CRS scores of 486 were also invited by IRCC. This draw’s candidate count is half that of March, when the IRCC held four draws in a row and invited more than 21,000 candidates, including 7,000 in three of those draws.

In terms of overall invitations, March saw the second-highest number in Express Entry history. Only a draw in February 2021, in which 27,332 CEC candidates obtained an ITA, surpasses it.

A tentative restoration to the regular draw timetable occurs in April. Express Entry draws typically take place on Wednesdays every other week until late 2022 and throughout March 2023. Weekly draws were held throughout March.

Additionally, the draws in March and April demonstrated a return to regular all-program draws. This year’s Provincial Nominee Program drawings were primarily program-specific between January and February. However, on February 2 IRCC staged the Federal Skilled Workers Program’s first-ever program-specific draw.
