About the Eligible Streams

Alberta Advantage Immigration Plan (AAIP) listed out the streams for which invitations were brought into the light. The AAIP invited a large number of applications through the Alberta Opportunity Stream, inviting 900 applications with a score of 60 points. This stream is for temporary foreign workers employed full-time in Alberta with a qualifying full-time job offer from an eligible Alberta employer.

After the Alberta Opportunity stream, the province invited 142 healthcare professionals with a score of 42 points. This outlined the need for qualified health professionals with job offers in eligible healthcare professions.

Later, in the draw, the Alberta Express Entry Stream for the priority sector for construction professionals headed its way, inviting 60 applications with a score of 60 points. This pathway is eligible for professionals who are for qualified professionals in the construction industry who listed an eligible occupation as their primary occupation in their Express Entry profile and may have an Alberta job offer in this industry.

The most significant draw to be considered here is for the Alberta Express Entry Stream for Law Enforcement professionals. The eligible candidates are those who have job offers from Alberta Association of Chiefs of Police members. This pathway was launched last year to help local police services meet recruitment objectives.

A total of 5,137 nominations have been listed out till date, outlining the need for skilled and qualified professionals in Alberta, even in various emerging industries.
