AAIP 2026: Alberta Invites Over 1,000 Professionals under Healthcare, Tech and Aviation Sectors

The Alberta Advantage Immigration Program (AAIP) has issued more than 1,000 skilled workers in the healthcare, aviation, and tech sectors, in the third week of June, through a series of draws, reinforcing province’s efforts to address labour shortage across various sectors. 

The third week of June, particularly between June 17 to June 29, 2026, Alberta has issued a total of 1,037 invitations to apply (ITAs) for provincial nominations. The latest Alberta PNP draw has invited professionals across a variety of in-demand sectors such as healthcare, tech, and aviation. A few of the invitations were also issued for tourism and hospital workers. The latest round of invitations presents a significant opportunity for professionals seeking better career prospects and long term stability in Canada. Successful candidates may become eligible for provincial nominations, bringing them one step closer to securing Canada permanent residency

The latest round of invitations under the Alberta PNP program which issued invitations across different economical sectors were invited through these following streams and pathways:

 AAIP Latest Draw: Detailed Analysis

With the AAIP latest round of invitation, as of June 30, 2026 Alberta has conducted a total of 56 selection rounds in 2026. It has been witnessed that two of the dedicated healthcare workers were invited through Dedicated Healthcare pathways – Express Entry and Non-Express Entry. What has been noteworthy is the invitations under the aviation sector are represented as the first of its kind in 2026. 

The invitations issued between June 19 and 29, targeted applicants in sectors Alberta has identified as the highest priorities for 2026 including healthcare, aviation, and technology. The main focus of the latest invitations relies on the number of invitations issued through Alberta Opportunity Stream, which is approximately 69.4% of the total issued invitations. As of June 29, 2026, Alberta has invited no fewer than 9,599 candidates to apply for provincial nominations through its 2026 draws.

Alberta PNP Program: Breakdown of Nominations 

With the clear representations of invitations, Alberta has also presented a breakdown of nominations under the Alberta PNP program. As of June 30, 2026, the Government of Alberta has stated that they have used *3,142 of the total 6,403 nomination spaces allocated to the province by the federal government, with remaining 3,100 nomination spaces remaining available for the rest of 2026 — presenting significant opportunity for eligible candidates in priority sectors. Alberta has also said that it has issued nominations through spaces reserved outside its regular Provincial Nominee Program allocation as these include 50 practice ready physicians and 12 French-speaking candidates. AAIP Program 2026: EOIs VS Applications in-Process

Amongst every detailed analysis under the AAIP program and its latest round of invitations, Alberta has also presented its inventory data which includes total number of Worker Expression of Interest (WEOIs) in the pool and the provincial nominations still awaiting finalisation in 2026.

As of June 30, 2026, Alberta worker pool contained 37,479 WEOIs, out of which 62.8% were submitted under the Alberta Opportunity stream. Whereas a total of 1,466 provincial nominations are still awaiting to be processed in 2026. The clear representation is as follows:
