Ontario invites 468 applications for Provincial Nominations

For the month of August, Ontario invites applications for the Provincial Nominee program, inviting hundreds of applications with job offers in different parts of Ontario.

A total of 468 invitations were issued, held in 5 draws in the month of August. These invitations were made for profiles created between July 2, 2025 and August 28, 2025.

The invitations were issued to foreign workers and international students with job offers in Northern Ontario, as well as candidates who qualify for the Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) pilot under the Employer Job Offer: Foreign Worker, International Student or  In-Demand Skills streams.

The Ontario PNP program was launched in 2007 in order to attract and retain skilled workers, international students, to meet the province labour needs and upgrade its economic needs.

    Eligibility for Invitation

On August 28, the invitations were made for candidates who qualify for the Foreign Worker or International Student Stream applied through the Expression of Interest (EOI) system.

OINP has now started to accept profiles whose employers have filed a job offer via the portal and successfully registered an Expression of Interest. This new EOI system marks a shift from an applicant-led process to an employer-led process for OINP’s Employer Job Offer streams.

Another major eligibility criteria that has to be followed is that the candidates needed a job offer in Northern Ontario, and had to be residing in Canada.
