October 2026 Express Entry rounds
Round | Date | Type | Invitations | Lowest CRS |
|---|---|---|---|---|
#447 | 1 October 2026 | Trades occupations | 3,500 | 476 |
#448 | 13 October 2026 | Provincial Nominee Program | 752 | 772 |
#449 | 15 October 2026 | Canadian Experience Class | 2,500 | 519 |
#450 | 16 October 2026 | French-language proficiency | 5,000 | 435 |
#451 | 26 October 2026 | Provincial Nominee Program | 792 | 761 |
The spread matters more than any single number: PNP 772 and 761, CEC 519, French 435, Trades 476. There is no single "CRS cut-off" for October — your route decides your cut-off.
For round #451, the tie-break was 3 April 2026 at 18:00:26 UTC, and the lowest-ranked invited candidate held a base score of 161 plus 600 points for the provincial nomination. Invited candidates have 60 days to submit a complete permanent residence application.
PNP draws beyond Express Entry: Manitoba, Alberta, Prince Edward Island and Ontario
Manitoba — draw #281, 8 October 2026: 340 Letters of Advice to Apply
Manitoba's first October draw was occupation-specific: 211 invitations to workers in education and childcare occupations (secondary school teachers, elementary school and kindergarten teachers, early childhood educators and assistants, and elementary and secondary school teacher assistants), 46 to health-occupation workers, and 83 through strategic recruitment (Employer Services 45, Francophone Community 16, Regional Communities 12, Ethnocultural Communities 9, Temporary Public Policy 1). 103 of the 340 invited candidates declared a valid Express Entry profile. Note: some headlines describe this draw as 257 invitations — that counts only the occupation-specific portion (211 + 46); the province's own total is 340.
Manitoba — draw #282, 22 October 2026: 1,304 Letters of Advice to Apply
- Completed post-secondary study in Manitoba: 734 invitations, lowest Manitoba ranking score 816.
- Overall top scoring, Skilled Worker in Manitoba: 513 invitations, lowest ranking score 846.
- Strategic recruitment, Skilled Worker Stream: 57 invitations (Employer Services 21, Francophone Community 16, Regional Communities 15, Ethnocultural Communities 2, Temporary Public Policy 3).
- 353 of the 1,304 invited candidates declared a valid Express Entry profile number and job seeker validation code.
Note: Manitoba's ranking scores (816, 846) are Manitoba's own Expression of Interest scores — they are not Express Entry CRS scores, and the two must not be compared directly.
Alberta — five draws, 9–20 October 2026: 561 invitations, plus fewer than 10
Between 9 and 20 October 2026, the Alberta Advantage Immigration Program published results for five draws: 97 under Priority Sectors (Health care) on 9 October at a minimum score of 60; 53 under the Dedicated Health Care Pathway (Express Entry) on 13 October at 57; 25 under the Tourism and Hospitality Stream on 14 October at 73; fewer than 10 under the Law Enforcement Pathway on 16 October at 49 (Alberta does not publish exact figures for rounds under 10); and 386 under Priority Sectors (General) on 20 October at 60 — the largest Express Entry round Alberta held this year.
Ontario — REDI regional pathway relaunched, 16 October 2026
Ontario confirmed a new round of the Regional Economic Development through Immigration (REDI) initiative, running through the end of 2027, for six communities: Greater Sudbury, Kenora District, Nipissing District, Rainy River District, Renfrew County and Thunder Bay. There is no separate REDI application — candidates qualify through the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program's regular processes and must plan to live and work in one of the six regions. No per-community allocations, draw dates or occupation lists were published with the announcement.
Prince Edward Island — 16 October 2026: 164 invitations
All 164 invitations went to Labour Impact and Express Entry candidates. No invitations went to Business Work Permit Entrepreneur applicants, and PEI published no minimum points threshold for its Labour Impact and Express Entry selections. This was PEI's second round in October, after 90 invitations on 7 October — 254 invitations across the month.
For applicants from India, the practical point is that PNP is not one queue. Each province sets its own occupations, streams and cut-offs, and some streams reward in-province graduates or specific occupations rather than the highest CRS score alone. That is why a Canada PR assessment from India should compare federal and provincial routes together, instead of tracking only the latest Express Entry draw.
What to do before 3 November 2026
From 3 November 2026, Express Entry gains a Labour Market Integration factor, announced by IRCC on 16 October 2026:
- Qualifying job offer points by wage tier: 100 (top tier), 70 (second tier) or 50 (third tier), across 186 high-wage occupations.
- Canadian work-experience bonus: an extra 20, 40 or 70 points by tier, lifting the Canadian work-experience component to a maximum of 150 points (140 with a spouse or common-law partner).
- You receive the higher of the two amounts, never both.
- No LMIA is needed for a qualifying job offer under the new factor, and holding an LMIA adds no points and confers no priority.
- Invitation rounds will pause for up to two weeks from 3 November while IRCC recalculates profiles.
Before then, check:
- Your current CRS score — and your rescored score under the new factor.
- Whether a provincial stream fits you better than a federal round — occupation, province and any in-Canada connection matter more than a single score.
- That your documents are ready — language tests, credential assessment, reference letters and proof of funds — so a short filing window after an invitation does not become a scramble.
- Never pay for a fake job offer or an LMIA. A job offer is not a general requirement for every applicant, and a genuine employer never asks you to pay for a job offer.
