Analysis for the AAIP PNP Programs in 2026
The latest invitation under the AAIP PNP program indicates Alberta’s shift towards attracting professionals under the sectors which are suffering labour shortage, such as tourism, hospitality, healthcare, tech, and priority sectors. This approach ensures Alberta’s intention of building its workforce stronger while strengthening the national economy.
According to the Canada’s Immigration level plan 2026-2028, Canada also claimed to increase its provincial nominations from 55,000 to 91,500 allocations in the year 2026, suggesting a 67% increase from the earlier PNP nominations. However, Alberta PNP latest draws highlighted Alberta’s strategy to attract professionals and satisfy its labour shortage needs.
Lastly, Alberta’s intention of inviting individuals with skills, knowledge, and experience in certain fields, highlights labour market needs in 2026. As we move ahead with the year, Alberta is expected to hold certain draws with much higher scores and larger numbers of invitations.
