Australia Immigration June Invitation Round: Draw Analysis

Following an extended period of inactivity in invitation rounds, the Australia immigration department’s move of addressing 10,000 skilled professionals under the Subclass 189 category, demonstrates Australia's continuous focus on addressing critical labour shortage across healthcare, construction, engineering, education, and scientific occupations. The allocation of 10,000 invitations make it one of the largest independent skilled migration rounds in recent times.

The Australia’s immigration department has presented a clear representation against different points criteria with the number of occupations underlying which are as follows:

●    65 points – 15 occupations (trades and construction)

●    70 points – 1 occupation (Gasfitter)

●    75 points – 25 occupations (healthcare and teaching)

●    80 points – 40 occupations (engineering and science)

●    85 points – 16 occupation (medical specialists)

●    90 points – 2 occupations (actuarial and statistics)

●    95 points – 10 occupations (life science and tech)

●    100 points – 1 occupation (urologist)

What is noteworthy is most of the applicants from India are invited between 65 to 85 points. At least 25 occupations were listed under the healthcare and teaching category, which demonstrates the rising demand of healthcare professionals throughout the year 2026.

Lastly, the June 2026 invitation round demonstrates Australia's ongoing commitment to attracting skilled professionals across multiple industries. With 10,000 invitations issued and occupations invited at scores as low as 65 points, Indian skilled workers have a significant opportunity to secure Australia permanent residency through the skilled independent visa pathway.

Australia Immigration: Next Invitation Round
