    On 16th September 2024, the Australian Immigration Authorities opened a Ballot process under this immigration program. The Ballot process is for India, China, and Vietnam.

    What Is A Work And Holiday Visa? 

    This visa subclass, part of the Australian Working Holiday Maker program, permits you to work in Australia while on vacation, just as subclass 417.

    Many applicants now obtain a 462 visa annually after it was launched in 2003 to enable more nations to participate in the working holiday maker program.

    Eligibility Criteria For Indians to Apply For This Visa Program 

    The following information explains the eligibility criteria for this visa program.

    1. One of the first requirements is that the candidate be an Indian citizen. 
    2. The candidate should be between 18-30 years. 
    3. Not previously held a work holiday visa; if so, you should be able to fulfill the requirements for a second work holiday visa.
    4. The candidate must not be based in Australia.
    5. Graduate certificates, diplomas, and university degrees with at least two years of study (above post-secondary level) will be accepted. The policy would be made available only in India. It complies with the requirements for other nations participating in this visa program.
    6. If family members are eligible to apply for the visa program, they must apply separately and meet the exact requirements; they are not permitted to participate in this program together.

    Health Insurance

    May need to meet health requirements. Health insurance is recommended. 

    Police Verification

    Provide police clearances for countries that stayed in for over 12 months in the past ten years. Biometrics may be required. 

    Pay Debts

    Must have paid or arranged to pay any outstanding debts to the Australian Government.

    No prior visa cancellations or refusals. Immigration history will be considered in application decisions.

    Australian Values Statement

    Must sign the Australian values statement.

    How To Apply For Visa Subclass 462? 

    This visa program has a two-step application procedure.  

    • Step: 01 

    Fill out a ballot application and wait to be chosen. Schedules permitted rounds and open voting period: None are known now. The agreed-upon cap is 1000.

    • Step 2: 

    After being chosen, apply for a visa as soon as possible, together with all necessary paperwork. Typically, one to five months.
