     2.  Point Assessment

    The next requirement after the occupation list is the mandatory 65 points on the point assessment grid. The 65 points get evaluated on certain factors such as age, work experience, language proficiency test score, and educational qualifications.

     3.  Language Proficiency

    English language proficiency test score report is a crucial requirement in the Queensland nomination requirement category. According to the Australia Department of Home Affairs, applicants with competent English scores will be accepted.

     4.  Work Experience

    Another crucial requirement is work experience, as one year of work experience is mandatory for an application in the same field. However, experience related to the nominated occupation submitted along EOI will be taken into consideration. Another major point under the work experience category is that the applicant must be employed in the nominated occupation at the time of nomination.

     5.  Visa Subclass

    The visa subclass are bifurcated on the basis of nominated occupations, as some of the occupations are only eligible under subclass 190. A major point to be noted under the visa subclass is if an applicant becomes eligible under subclass 190, they cannot further become eligible for Subclass 491.

     6.  Commitment to Queensland

    Another major requirement for Queensland nomination is applicant’s commitment to Queensland. Applicants applying under Subclass 190, have to mandatorily stay in Queensland for 2 years after the issue of the visa. While through Subclass 491, applicants have to stay in Queensland for at least 3 years after the issue of the visa.

    Step 5: After receiving a nomination for Queensland nomination, the Australian Department of Home Affairs allows applicants to submit their visa application within 60 days.
