Alberta Invites Candidates In Health and Technology Sectors with Six Immigration Draws

With over 1,400 invitations and six provincial immigration draws, Alberta invited candidates in the health and technology sectors, held between February 26 and March 16, 2026. 

The AAIP (Alberta Advantage Immigration Program) invited candidates under various streams and pathways so as to satisfy the province’s labour needs. The streams and pathways are as following:

❖  Rural Renewal Stream

❖  Alberta Express Entry Stream – Priority Sectors pathway (Healthcare)

❖  Alberta Express Entry Stream –  Accelerated Tech pathways

❖  Dedicated Healthcare Pathways – non-Express Entry

Earlier in the year, in January, Alberta announced that they will prioritize occupations in sectors such as healthcare, technology, construction, manufacturing, aviation, and agriculture in 2026.

It has been clearly observed that Alberta has allocated a significant amount of invitations, and in the first quarter of the year, it has only covered approximately 20% of its total allocation. Leaving 2,707 spaces to be processed in the year provides an advantage to the competent and skilled prospective immigrants who aspire to immigrate and settle there in the province.
