Canada Express Entry Points Calculator 2025

Canada is filled with many opportunities. Every year, various people migrate to Canada through the Express Entry Program, one of the leading immigration pathways through which most people complete their migration journey.

The Canadian immigration authority uses a unique points system, the Comprehensive Ranking System, to evaluate a candidate’s eligibility for the express entry program, with higher points receiving invitations to apply. You can also check your eligibility for the immigration program through our Canada Express Entry Points Calculator 2025.

This article will provide every detail about the Canada Express Entry Draw Points Calculator. But before proceeding, let us give you a brief introduction to the Canada Express Entry System and Comprehensive Ranking System.

What is the Canada Express Entry System?

The express entry program is the flagship Canadian immigration program. It is the most famous and fastest way to apply for a Canada PR Visa. It is a point-based program. To apply, you have to meet the minimum points requirement.

Streams Under the Canada Express Entry System
The following are three primary federal immigration programs managed by the express entry program.
  1. Federal Skilled Worker Program (FSWP)
  2. Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP)
  3. Canadian Experience Class (CEC)

What Is A Comprehensive Ranking System?

In the Express Entry program, the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) ranks immigrants applying for a Canada PR Visa through federal economic immigration programs.

The CRS point calculator is an essential tool that allows a candidate to calculate the points required to immigrate to Canada under the Canadian government’s Federal Skilled Immigration Programs. Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points are awarded to applicants based on work experience, language proficiency, age, etc.

Using these CRS points, candidate profiles are ranked in the Express Pool, which is the primary reason for using the Comprehensive Ranking System. They use the CRS point calculator to determine how many points they can get.

Applicants whose profiles rank highest in the Express Pool based on CRS points receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) to apply for a permanent residence visa from Immigration, Refugees, and Citizenship Canada (IRCC).

What Is A Canada Express Entry FSW Points Calculator?

One must meet the minimum points cut-off to obtain a PR visa through Express Entry. The Express Entry points calculator will help you to know your PR visa points. There are two steps to applying for PR visa via the Express Entry program:

Step 1: 67 Points Calculator

Comprehensive ranking system (CRS) calculator

Scoring a minimum of 67 points out of 100 in the FSWP point assessment grid is one of the minimum requirements to be eligible to create an Express Entry profile. The FSWP point assessment grid assigns points based on the following factors:

  • Language Skills – Maximum 28 points

Proficiency in English and/or French. Points awarded based on results from official language tests (e.g., IELTS, CELPIP).

  • Education – Maximum 25 points

Points awarded for education based on completed studies, diplomas, or degrees.

  • Work Experience – Maximum 15 points

Points based on the number of years of full-time skilled work experience.

  • Age – Maximum 12 points

Points awarded based on the applicant's age at the time of applying.

  • Arranged Employment – Maximum 10 points

Points for having a valid job offer from a Canadian employer.

  • Adaptability – Maximum 10 points

Points awarded for factors like spouse's language skills, past work/study experience in Canada, or relatives in Canada.

Step 2: Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) Calculator

After meeting the minimum 67 points requirement, applicants are then evaluated through the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS), which determines their ranking in the Express Entry pool. The CRS score is crucial as it determines whether you'll receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residency.
