  1. Partner Visa 

The Partner Visa in Australia is designed for your spouse or fiancée/ fiancé. They can settle down in Australia to obtain Australian PR for their families. Through this, you can also get a permanent residency after some years. The following are the subclasses of this visa program. 

  • Married Spouse or Partners 
  • Partner planning to tie the knot or fiancée
  • Willing partners, even those of the same gender 

Remember the candidate's partner must be a permanent resident of Australia or a qualified citizen of New Zealand. 

  1. Parent Visa 

The Parent Visa is given to candidates with qualified children residing in Australia as permanent residents or citizens of Australia or a competent citizen of New Zealand.  

This visa subclass is approved for aged and working individuals. People coming to Australia on this visa can work there. At first, the Temporary Resident status is granted to confident parents. After meeting the requirements, one may apply for later permanent residence. 

The Contributory Parent Visa option is also available at an additional cost and allows faster application processing. The Department of Home Affairs approves a set amount of Parent Visas each year. There are a lot of applications. Therefore, you might have to wait for the backlog to be cleared. 

  1. Child Visa 

The child visa is similar to the parent visa. The child visa program in Australia also has various subclass visa categories. Meanwhile, the child's sponsorship should be mandatorily done by a permanent resident or citizen of Australia, and the sponsor should reside in Australia.  

In case the child who is going to be sponsored is already in Australia, it may be possible for them to immigrate to Australia as a Permanent Residency, orphaned relative,  or dependent kid. However, if the child is not in Australia, it may be possible for them to immigrate to Australia as an adopted child or as an orphaned relative. 

  1. Other Family Member 

Caretakers, dependent relatives, sisters, and brothers can also immigrate to Australia on a provisional visa and later get permanent residency status. However, the sponsorship must be done by a permanent resident or citizen of Australia. 

Requirements of Family Sponsored Visa Australia 

The primary requirements for the Australia Family Visa are that the sponsor must be a qualified New Zealand citizen or an Australian permanent resident. Additionally, the sponsor needs to be:  

  • Aged above 18 years old 
  • Should be able to provide proof of funds to support themselves during their stay in the country 
  • If you are a qualified New Zealand citizen living in Australia, meet the character and health requirements. 

Meanwhile, if the sponsorship is for the permanent subclass visa. In that case, the sponsor should agree to provide financial support and accommodation to the applicant for up to two years from arrival in the country.
