The latest express entry draw was held on 26th April. It is the eleventh express entry draw in the all-program category. A total of 3,500 Invitations to apply (ITAs) were released. The all-program category is for the Federal skilled worker program (FSWP), Federal skilled trades program (FSTP), and the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). The previous draw was held on 12th April which invited around 3,500 candidates with minimum Comprehensive Ranking Score (CRS) 486 points. Almost half the candidates were invited on the 15th, 23rd and 29th of March. These consecutive draws invited over 21,000 candidates in over two weeks. The CRS rose from 481 to 486 within each draw.

How March was a milestone in immigration history!

March was a great milestone in the history of immigration to Canada as it invited more than 21,000 candidates to apply, that too within a very short span of time. All these draws focused on all program categories. One more draw was generated on 1st March, but they focused on the Provincial Nominee program. This was a great milestone as it experienced 4 express entry draws in a single month which is quite rare as the draw happens only twice a month.

What is an Express Entry Program?

The express entry program is an application management system which evaluates candidates from the FSWP, FSTP and CEC programs. This program helps to evaluate the candidates based on their skills and experience. The IRCC has a ranking system (CRS) which depends on factors like age, education, occupation, job offer, work experience and adaptability. The higher the CRS, the higher will be your chance to receive an ITA.

After receiving an ITA the candidate has 60 days to submit their application for permanent residence. The immigration offices can then accept or reject the application.
