Ontario invites Express Entry candidates under two PNP streams
Ontario has invited French-speaking, also skilled trades candidates with profiles in the Express Entry system.
Ontario issued invitations to Express Entry applicants who may qualify for 2 provincial immigration teams that target French-speakers, and skilled trades employees.Ontario latest immigration news.
The Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP) issued the invitations on November 4. The invitations, also known as Notifications of Interest, or NOIs, went to applicants in the French-Speaking Skilled Worker and Skilled Trades streams.
These two enhanced Provincial Nominee Programs (PNPs) are aligned with the Express Entry system. The men and women who have been encouraged in today’s draw will find an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points towards their overall score, should they get the provincial nomination.
This award would effectively ensure that they would receive an Invitation to Apply for Canadian permanent home in a subsequent national Express Entry draw.
Ontario latest immigration news ,Express Entry is an application management system for three national immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Program, Federal Skilled Trades Program, and Canadian Experience Class.
Candidates are rated on human capital variables that the government has decided could help them thrive in the Canadian labor market like age, job experience, education, and English or French language proficiency.
Invited candidates will be contacted by the OINP. They will have 45 days to use online for their provincial nomination. Applications can be performed online, and it could either be done by the applicant or with a agent . The application form takes around three hours to fill out but it is not required to be completed in 1 session. The cost to apply is $1,500 CAD payable by credit card.
About the French-Speaking Skilled Worker stream
This PNP is tailored for Express Entry candidates who speak English and French. They need to meet the eligibility requirements of the Canadian Experience Course , or the Federal Skilled Worker Program. Every one of these federal programs have their own requirements for work experience and education.
Candidates also require a Canadian Language Benchmark (CLB) of seven in French, and at least a half in English, among other eligibility conditions .
About the Skilled Trades stream
Skilled trades workers need a minumum of one year of cumulative paid fulltime job experience, or equal part-time experience, in Ontario. The qualified skilled trades have to be listed in Minor Group 633, or Important Groups 72, 73, or 82 of the National Occupation Classification.
Work experience should have been done in Ontario within the previous couple of years in the application submission date. The work experience must also be in at least one of the jobs identified in the Express Entry profile.
These candidates also have to have a valid certificate or license if they are promising work experience in a transaction which requires certification. Candidates require a CLB of five in either French or English, among other eligibility conditions .
