B.C. invites 74 immigration candidates in Tech Pilot draw
The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program invited candidates in the Express Entry BC and Skills Immigration categories.

The British Columbia Provincial Nominee Program (BC PNP) Tech Pilot draw issued invitations to applicants under the Express Entry BC and Skills immigration categories.
Selected applicants that were out of the Licensed Worker and Global Graduate subcategories had a minimal provincial score of 80.
The February 9 draw saw that the minimal score remain in the low 80s, as has become the case for Tech Pilot draws since the start of the year.
The BC PNP Tech Pilot is a fast-track immigration pathway for in-demand tech workers and global students.
The pilot project was started in 2017 and has since been extended several times, most recently until June 2021. British Columbia new tech pilot draw for provincial nomination.
In order to be considered eligible for the program, applicants need to be registered in one of B.C.’s existing provincial immigration streams and possess a legitimate job offer of 12 or more weeks in among their Tech Pilot’s 29 eligible occupations.
To apply for the Skills Immigration or Express Entry BC groups candidates must first create a profile through the BC PNP’s online portal and enroll under its Skills Immigration Registration System (SIRS).
Applicants are evaluated and issued a score that determines whether they may be invited to apply in a given invitation round. The rating is based on a number of factors like level of education, years of direct work experience and having a B.C. job offer.
Express Entry candidates who receive a nomination from British Columbia is going to receive an additional 600 points supporting their Express Entrance Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score and therefore are effectively guaranteed that an Invitation To Apply (ITA) in a future federal Express Entry draw.
Federal Express Entry draws are usually held twice per month and invite approximately 4,000 immigration candidates to submit an application for permanent residence in Canada.
The newest Express Entrance draw, held on January 21, resulted in 4,626 invitations to apply for permanent house — one of the most significant round of invitations because the program’s launch in 2015. So far this year, IRCC has issued 10,000 ITAs and has said it is going to continue to make efforts to welcome high levels of new immigrants from the forthcoming years and beyond.
So much in 2021, B.C. has 6 draws through its various PNP categories and streams and invited close to 1,000 candidates to submit an application for a provincial nomination.
Invited candidates have 30 calendar days to apply to the nomination.
