Canada Express Entry Bulletin

• 401,000 new immigrants are expected to enter Canada in 2021, of whom 108,500 will immigrate via Express Entry.
• In 2022 and 2023, 411,000 and 421,000 new immigrants will enter Canada – of whom 110,500 and 113,750 (respectively) will immigrate through Express Entry.
• Canada Issued 107,350 Express Entry Invitations in 2020
• Despite pandemic-related complications, Canada issued a record high number of invitations to apply for permanent residence under the Express Entry System in 2020.
• This year marked the first time that invitations under the Express Entry System exceeded 100,000.
• The last Express Entry draw of 2020, held on 23rd December, invited 5,000 candidates who scored 468 or more CRS points.
• Only those who submitted their Expressions of Interest on or before 4th June 2020 at 13:39:44 UTC were invited.
• This was the fourth consecutive draw in which 5,000 invitations were extended and the CRS point cut-off decreased.
• During the initial months of the pandemic, the Express Entry System only invited provincial nominees and candidates with Canadian work experience.
• Starting September, all-program draws issuing a high number of invitations were held on a fortnightly basis.
• Between 2021-23, Canada will welcome more than 400,000 new immigrants every year.
