Automotive industry employees with profiles in the Express Entry system were invited to apply for a provincial nomination from Nova Scotia

Nova Scotia invites industry workers for immigration candidates to apply for a provincial nomination on September 24.

The Nova Scotia Nominee Program (NSNP) published the draw’s eligibility criteria for Express Entry candidates but did not say how many invitations have been shipped.

Candidates needed to have a main occupation in one of the subsequent two National Occupational Classification (NOC) codes: motor car body fixes (NOC 7322) or automotive service technicians, bus and truck mechanics and mechanical repairers (NOC 7321).

Invited candidates also need to show that they have a couple of years of fulltime, or equal part-time experience, in these jobs over the five years preceding this application.

They also needed a Canadian Language Benchmark of at least five in most English language abilities. They must include copies of speech evaluations and proof of schooling with their application for the provincial nomination. Evidence of education must incorporate an Educational Credential Assessment report issued by an organization designated by Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada if your instructional credential was obtained outside of Canada.

In addition, candidates also must have completed a program of two or more years in a postsecondary institution, such as a college, college or trade school.

Invited candidates have until October 24 to ship in their application for the provincial nomination for Canadian permanent residence.

Nova Scotia’s Labour Market Priorities Stream invites immigration candidates dependent on the requirements of the province’s labor market. This is the very first Provincial Nominee Program (PNP) draw out of Nova Scotia because May, when the state invited nurses who had profiles at the Express Entry pool.

Express Entry candidates invited

In order to be considered for a provincial nomination from Nova Scotia through the Labour Economy Priorities Stream, applicants have to get a profile in the Express Entry system.

Express Entry manages applications for Canadian permanent home via three federal immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Software (FSWP), Federal Skilled Trades Program (FSTP), and Canadian Expertise Class (CEC).

Express Entry candidates are ranked on the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS). They are awarded points based on factors such as their age, work experience, education, and language ability in English or French.

Now that Nova Scotia has issued invitations, also known as Letters of Interest, encouraged candidates have 60 calendar days to complete their program for a provincial nomination.

If they get the provincial nomination from Nova Scotia, they will automatically be given an extra 600 CRS points, which will effectively guarantee that they will receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) at a subsequent Express Entry draw.
