A new draw held by province on September 24 Saskatchewan invites 535 candidates for immigration to apply for permanent residence.

The Saskatchewan Immigrant Nominee Program (SINP) sent out invitations to applicants in the Express Entry and Occupations In-Demand classes.

The SINP has invited 2,740 Occupations In-Demand candidates so far this season. Together with the 2,245 candidates invited to apply for a provincial nomination throughout the Saskatchewan Express Entry sub-category, the entire amount of invitations issued in 2020 is now just under 5,000.

So as to be selected, candidates needed to have filed an Expression of Interest (EOI) profile with the SINP.

The SINP utilizes an EOI system to invite immigration candidates that have the capacity to thrive in the prairie province to apply for a provincial nomination for permanent residence.

The minimum score required from the September 24 draws was 82 for the two sub-categories.

However, candidates needed at least one year of work experience in an eligible skilled occupation associated with their field of research.

Invited candidates in both categories had Educational Credential Assessments, which show how foreign degrees, diplomas, and certifications compare to Canadian credentials.

Express Entry sub-category

In the latest invitation around, Saskatchewan issued 278 invitations to candidates who’d profiles at the federal Express Entry pool.

Saskatchewan’s Express Entry sub-category is connected to the national Express Entry system, which manages the pool of applicants for three of Canada’s main economic-class immigration programs: Federal Skilled Worker Class, Federal Skilled Trades Class, and Canadian Expertise Class.

If candidates in the federal Express Entry pool also filled out an EOI for Saskatchewan, and they also scored 82 on the SINP’s Points Assessment Grid that they might have been selected during the September 24 draw.

Express Entry candidates who apply for and receive a provincial nomination in the state of Saskatchewan are awarded an extra 600 points toward their Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) score at the federal level, and therefore are effectively guaranteed an invitation to submit an application for Canadian permanent residence.

Occupations In-Demand sub-category

The Jobs In-Demand sub-category is available to immigration candidates who don’t have a federal Express Entrance profile.

There were 257 Jobs In-Demand candidates encouraged to submit an application for a provincial nomination, also like the Express Entry sub-category, applicants needed a nationwide score of 82 in order to be picked.

The September 24 draw invitations to applicants in 81 jobs including senior managers, sales representatives, and machines operators amongst others.
